What do you get when you combine POETRY & MUSIC? MUSIC!Reba Parker, local musician and retired teacher-librarian, has joined our fifth graders to create original music. We have been exploring poetry and relations to music. What a fantastic way to end out our school year!

 3rd, 4th & 5th Graders:
Answer a short survey about your time in library!  The Kindergarten and 1st grade classes got a chance to explore the iPads for the first time this week. We explored EPIC! (free eBooks app) and Tumblebooks (PPS paid subscription). We learned how to navigate these sights and new vocabulary words such as
 Exploring the way poetry LOOKS.... we created some acrostic poems using the READ WRITE THINK app (it's free!) Super fun and easy to use... check out these funny and creative poems... Concrete Poetry... and there's no cement to be found ;) |
