While I was reading the spring issue of Ms. Berk's Classroom newspaper, I came across a great interview to share! These books are mighty popular reads in the library!

Interview with Peyton

By Alma

Q: So Peyton, how do you like Warriors books?

A: I love them! That’s all I read!

Q: Why?

A: Because I love the characters, and I love the fact that they are cats!

Q: What is your favorite book out of the series?

A: Probably, well, Into the Wild, book one.

Q: Well, how about you tell us a little bit about it, and why you like it?

A: Well in the book, Rusty, a Kittypet, meets the Warriors Cats of Thunderclan and becomes a warrior, earning the name Firepaw.

Q: How many books have you read?

A: Um, about seven, they are all pretty good!

Q: What level reading do you suggest the Warriors books?

A: Probably, maybe a  five, only because there are words that people might not understand, like two legs, or kittypet.  A two-leg means that the cat is like a human with two legs! And kitty pet means, a pet cat.

Q: Do you have any more information to tell us?

A: Yes. There is some death, and evil clans. There are cats dying and fighting, but other than that, it’s a great book.

Q: What grade(s) do you suggest this book to?

A: Third grade and up but not higher than seventh grade.

Q: One last thing to say before I end this interview?

A: Ummmmm, well, I just think you should check out this series, and that’s pretty much it!
